A veranda is an extension of your home where you can enjoy the outdoors without sacrificing comfort. When styling a veranda, it’s important to consider the existing elements and colors in the environment. We had the opportunity to style a veranda starting with a beautiful base and existing elements. Here we share our tips and inspiration!
Start with the Basics
For this veranda, we had a solid base: a concrete floor, a stone wall, and a striking plastered fireplace as an eyecatcher. These robust and sturdy elements called for an interior that complements them while also adding a touch of softness.
Choose the Right Furniture
A sturdy grey leather sofa was already in the veranda. This was our starting point for the rest of the decor. To make the space cozy and functional, we added a grey bouclé pouf. This can serve as extra seating or as a side table. The soft texture of the bouclé pouf brings balance to the space and makes the overall look more inviting.
Play with Cushions
Cushions are an easy way to add style and comfort. On the grey leather sofa, we combined our beautiful crane cushions with light grey Lillian bouclé cushions. The contrast between the different materials and prints creates a playful yet cohesive look. Adding a solid-colored cushion creates calmness within the mix of patterns and textures.
Warmth and Comfort with Throws
For cooler evenings, a throw is indispensable. The Gigi throw is perfect for this and comes in grey, white, or pink. We used the grey one, but a white throw can also be beautiful to keep the overall look fresh. A throw not only provides warmth but also adds an extra soft texture to your veranda.
Atmosphere with Accessories
Accessories really complete the space. For this veranda, we chose the Lena tealight holder in smoke. This creates a warm and cozy atmosphere during long summer evenings. The Flo vases, with their beautiful design and touch of elegance, complete the look.
Tips for Styling Your Veranda:
1.Consider the environment: Choose colors and materials that match the existing elements.
2.Mix and match materials: Combine sturdy and soft materials for a balanced overall look.
3.Add texture: Use different textures like bouclé, leather, and concrete to create depth.
4.Comfort is key: Ensure comfortable seating and soft cushions and throws.
5.Accessories for ambiance: Use candles, vases, and other accessories to make the space cozy and inviting.
With these tips, you can create a stylish and cozy veranda where you can fully enjoy both day and night.
