Entrepreneurs Sjoerd Trompetter and Jochem Hes have acquired a majority stake in Riverdale, the Dutch interior and lifestyle brand.

Riverdale, loved in homes across Europe, is entering a new phase of growth. Sjoerd Trompetter and Jochem Hes are stepping in as active owners to help shape and build the brand’s future.

After more than a decade of building the personal care brand Naïf into an international success, Sjoerd and Jochem consciously stepped back from day-to-day operations in the summer of 2025. As of January 2026, they are back with full energy — and embarking on a new entrepreneurial journey with Riverdale.

Founded in the 1990s, Riverdale has become a trusted name in home décor, fragrances and lifestyle accessories. The brand stands for accessible design, warm atmospheres and products that elevate everyday moments. With a strong retail network and a loyal customer base, Riverdale offers a solid foundation for its next stage of growth.

Under its new ownership, the focus is clear: sharpening the assortment, accelerating innovation and making more conscious, sustainable choices across the collection. New product development will balance aesthetics, quality and sustainability — with room to surprise and inspire.
